Focus of faculty research: Advanced propulsion design and testing, rarefied gas dynamics, microfluidics, micro propulsion and spacecraft-thruster interactions, heat transfer and thermodynamics with application to renewable energy, modeling simulation and control of dynamic systems, tethered spacecraft, theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, thermal fluid sciences with a focus on microscale heat transfer and fluid mechanics, flame characterization using advanced diagnostics
