Overview

The Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University

Salisbury University, a Maryland University of national distinction, offers a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program through the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. The Perdue School of Business is home to 4 departments: accounting and legal studies; economics and finance; information and decision science; and management and marketing. As a result, SU is able to offer an M.B.A. degree program that fosters the development of skills in each of these areas.

The Perdue School is accredited by AACSB International. This places SU among a small elite group of less than five percent of business schools worldwide. Programs undergo rigorous review every five years to demonstrate continuous improvement. SU earned reaccreditation in summer 2014.

A Fast-Paced, Rigorous One-year M.B.A. Degree Program with SAP Expertise

The Perdue School of Business offers a one-year M.B.A. degree program with 7-week semesters. With AACSB International accreditation, the M.B.A. degree program at Salisbury University helps students improve the skills they need to work in a team-focused, technology-oriented, globally diverse work environment.

Experienced faculty members deliver courses through a hybrid format, holding face-to-face classes one night per week while relying on an innovative online system that integrates simulations, virtual environments, and cutting-edge technology.

SU also offers a part-time option that students can complete in two years.

Expertise in SAP and Innovative Technology

SU is a SAP University Alliance member and as such, enables M.B.A. degree program students to gain expertise in highly in-demand software skills. Students learn how this and other technology can be integrated into business processes and strategic planning to give their organizations a competitive edge.

Students complete courses in business intelligence software technology and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that include supply chain management, sales and marketing, and corporate accounting and financials components. These courses also allow students to explore the integrated nature of business processes.

The Online M.B.A. Degree Program

Starting in fall 2015, SU will offer a 100 percent fully-online version of its M.B.A. program. An accelerated version of the program may be completed in less than one year, or students may choose a part-time track. Both campus and online options feature small classes in fast-paced seven-week sessions. Covering topics across the business spectrum, the program begins with an accounting concepts course. Students then study such areas as supply chain management and corporate finance, before finishing with capstone management and consulting courses.

The program is open to anyone who has completed an undergraduate degree and wishes to advance in his or her career. In the past, M.B.A. students have come from fields as diverse as archaeology, art history, accounting and engineering.

The M.B.A. Degree Program Curriculum

The M.B.A. degree program at Salisbury University is a 30-credit program. During the fall semester, students take courses in "Accounting Concepts and Applications;" "Enterprise Systems and Business Process Integration;" "Strategic Marketing Applications;" and "Business Economics." In winter, students complete marketing courses in "Analytical Customer Relationship Management/Business Intelligence." In the spring semester, students take "High-Performance Work Systems;" "Decision Making in the Supply Chain;" "Managerial Finance;" "Managing Strategically;" and "Project Consulting."

Admission to the SU M.B.A. Degree Program

Students with bachelor's degrees in fields ranging from art history to archaeology to accounting join the M.B.A. degree program at Salisbury University. Those admitted to the degree program have a minimum GMAT score of 400 points and a minimum GPA of 2.5, although this minimum does not guarantee admission.
